Detroit, MI - On April 7, 2016 a press conference was held by Detroit attorney and author Tom Bleakley announcing the formal filing of a
federal lawsuit on behalf of the board of education for Detroit Public Schools against the State of Michigan outlining the violation of the
civil rights of children by emergency management in the school district.
